Vars Holiday village

Located just outside the Queyras Regional Park, the Vars resort and its vast skiing area, La Forêt Blanche, offer the charm of an old-style ski resort situated between 1650m and 2750m altitude. 

A vast skiing area for the whole family

With 180km of Alpine ski slopes, a 45km cross-country ski area and one of the quickest speed skiing slopes in the world and a night slope, La Forêt Blanche is a dream come true for all skiers!

Ski + equipment package

Your ski pass from the day after arrival to the day before departure gives you access to La Forêt Blanche skiing area (Vars-Risoul).

Equipment hire: Alpine skis, snow surf boards, snow boots, snowshoes, sledges. Children’s helmets are also included in equipment rental (until 17 years old).

N.B.: bring a passport-sized photo so that we can personalise your pass (this is mandatory for children and adults).

Discovering the ski resort

Each week, the Villages Clubs du Soleil and ESF instructors accompany you on a ½-day discovery tour of the ski resort. A fun way to get to know your new ski environment or to simply revisit the slopes of your favourite resorts (reserved for experienced adult skiers – minimum level class I).

Discover walking in trapper snowshoes

Included in the all-inclusive package(adults only)
Reconnect with nature by going on snowshoe walks with guides from the Vars Village Club du Soleil.

Level: easy to medium (walks recognised by our certified mountain walking guides). 
Locations : in the heart of an unspoilt natural environment (forest, woodland, small valleys, etc.) departure from the Village Club, on foot or by car depending on the excursion.
Duration: half-day excursions

Ski Progress : to advance at your own pace

To improve your skiing skills and enjoy yourself at your own pace, our Ski Progress lessons are perfect for parents or children, beginners or more experienced skiers.

Levels : From beginners to more experienced skiers, adults and children from the age of 4 (according to level of skill).
Duration: 6 half-day sessions.
Groups : Maximum of 10 people per group of similar level of skill.
Supervision : Qualified instructors from the Ecole du Ski Français.
Equipment: provided by the Village Club du Soleil.

2 and ½ hours of lessons per day, in the morning or in the afternoon, from Sunday to Friday.
Group lessons according to level of skill (beginners to advanced).
Medal included for 4/-12 yo children

Surf Progress : All the fun of snowboard sports

Surfboard Progress lessons will introduce you or help you perfect your snow surfing skills in a safe environment. Come and enjoy the fun of snowboard sports with the whole family or with friends !

Levels : from beginner to more experienced levels for adults and children from the age of 8.
Duration: 6 half-day sessions.
Groups : Maximum of 10 people per group of similar level of skill.
Supervision : Qualified instructors from the Ecole Ski Français.
Equipment: provided by the Village Club du Soleil.

2½ hours of lessons/day from Sunday to Friday, 11.45am-2.15pm and 2.30pm-5pm from 17 feb to 16 mar 2013.
2½ hours of lessons/day from Sunday to Friday, 1.30pm-4pm, other priods
