Valmorel : Hikes/Mountain biking
The Mountain Centre team at Village Club de Valmorel la Belle organises tours to discover the charming landscapes of Beaufortain, La Lauzière and La Vanoise.
Our guides offer full day or half-day hikes*, nature trails, excursions, themed walks and mountain bike tours in the heart of the authentic and unspoilt woodlands. Adventures and discovery of the fauna and flora, history, heritage – just follow the guide !

Practical advice and techniques, a choice of itinerary for your family outings, loan of specialist equipment... our guides from the Village Club de Valmorel are there to answer questions and help you organise your holiday.
We pull out all the stops to ensure you can enjoy the pleasures of the mountain at your own level and according to your wishes. The Village Club team accompanies you throughout your stay and enables you to gently progress according to your wishes.
Hiking
• Levels : From stroller – green level (300m altitude) to experienced hiker – black level (over 1000m altitude). Hikes recognised by our guides and by ordnance survey maps.
• Duration: Day trips.
• Place: You will leave the Village Club de Valmorel on foot or by car, depending on the itinerary, along one of the marked routes and off piste trails, scree or tricky passages.
• Supervision : certified mountain walking guides.
• Equipment: hiking boots (from size 36) and rucksack provided for hikes.
Walks
• Levels : From stroller – green level (300m altitude) to walker – blue level (500m altitude max). Walks recognised by our guides and by ordnance survey maps.
• Duration: Half-day trips.
• Place: You will leave the Village Club de Valmorel on foot or by car, depending on the itinerary, along marked trails.
• Supervision : guides.
• Equipment: hiking boots (from size 36) and rucksack provided for walks Fauna and flora nature trails accompanied by our guides.
Access to the resort’s ski lifts
from 30th June to 1st September 2012
Excursions
Programme of excursions - visiting and exploring the region with guides (with or without surcharge depending on the outings). Some examples of excursions: Medieval city Conflans, Cooperative of Moûtiers, dairy...
Mountain bike treks
Mountain biking addicts, fans and enthusiasts, whatever their level, can enjoy wonderful treks where they can discover the superb landscapes surrounding the resort.
Activity reserved for adults, teens age 16 and up and children over 11 as part of their club’s activities.
• Levels : from beginners (200m altitude), to sporty hikers (up to 1000m altitude).
• Duration: half-day or full-day trips offered every day.
• Locations : Depending on your level, the activity can be done on rolling paths or trails or on any type of ground.
• Supervision : Guide with state certificate in cycling.
• Equipment: Mountain bikes, helmets and protection provided for activities organised on site. Beginners mountain bike course on site at the Club

Mountain biking and hiking in total safety
Day trips: leave your worries behind! Our children’s coordinators can look after lunch for your children registered for kids’ clubs. And you can take a picnic with you (to be booked the day before at reception).
Registration
Registration for mountain bike and hiking activities directly at the Village Club reception desk, from Sunday to Monday during opening times, on the previous day for the next day’s activities (subject to spaces available and weather conditions).
