Walks in the forest, hamlets and chapels, mountain pastures and prairies, a rich rural heritage (museums, Baroque churches, chapels...) and a number of local Savoyard traditions Savoie (markets, costumes, Beaufort cheese...). Not to be missed! The Village Club Arc 1800 Mountain Centre team offers to accompany you on full day or half-day hikes* nature trails, excursions, themed outings and mountain bike tours in the heart of the authentic and unspoilt woodlands. Adventures and discovery of the fauna and flora, history, heritage – just follow the guide !

Practical advice and techniques, a choice of itinerary to discover with your family, specialist equipment loan... the guides from Village Club Arc 1800 are there to answer your questions and make your stay a happy one.
We pull out all the stops to ensure you can enjoy the pleasures of the mountain at your own level and according to your wishes. The Village Club team accompanies you throughout your stay and enables you to gently progress according to your wishes.
Mountain guides from Village Club Arc 1800 are qualified Ambassadeurs du Parc National de la Vanoise. They are committed to offering quality circuits, delivering their expert knowledge of the site as well as respecting the surroundings.
Hiking
• Levels : From stroller – green level (300m altitude) to experienced hiker – black level (over 1000m altitude). Hikes recognised by our guides and by ordnance survey maps.
• Duration: Day trips.
• Place: depending on the itinerary, you will leave Village Club Arc 1800 on foot or by car, along marked routes and off piste trails, scree or tricky passages.
• Supervision : certified mountain walking guides.
• Equipment: hiking boots (from size 36) and rucksack provided for hikes.
Walks
• Levels : From stroller – green level (300m altitude) to walker – blue level (500m altitude max). Walks recognised by our guides and by ordnance survey maps.
• Duration: Half-day trips.
• Place: depending on the itinerary, you will leave Village Club Arc 1800 on foot or by car, along marked routes.
• Supervision : guides.
• Equipment: Mountain boots (from size 36) and rucksacks are provided for those participating in organised tours.
Fauna and flora "Nature"trails accompanied by our guides
Outdoor activities linked with exploring the environment, no sport involved, for children over 3 and adults:
- how plants grow
- learning about an ancient farming method and traditional mountain life
- understanding flower planting, their life cycle and adaptation to the milieu
- approaching fauna and flora, with parallels drawn with human societies
- learning about life in the forest thanks to traces left by its inhabitants.

Programme of excursions - visiting and exploring the region with guides (with or without surcharge depending on the outings).

Mountain bike treks
Mountain biking addicts, fans and enthusiasts, whatever their level, can enjoy wonderful treks where they can discover the superb landscapes surrounding the resort.
Activity reserved for adults, teens age 16 and up and children over 11 as part of their club’s activities.
• Levels : from beginners (200m altitude), to sporty hikers (up to 1000m altitude).
• Duration: half-day or full-day excursions.
• Locations : Depending on your level, the activity can be done on rolling paths or trails or on any type of ground.
• Supervision : Guide with state certificate in cycling.
• Equipment: mountain bike, helmet and protective gear supplied for treks.
Beginners’ course at the resort to learn about mountain biking
Free access to the Bike Park at the resort of Arc 1600, all levels of rider and all types of activity!
Beginners won’t feel left out; they can learn to enjoy the pleasures of mountain biking in total safety thanks to the four discovery trails extended across the four sites: "Practice Parks".
• 150km of marked routes at an altitude of between 800m to 2,600m, in the Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry mountain area.
• A 32-kmcross-country circuit taking you as far as Montchavin- Les Coches by the Vanoise Express
• The new sports area dedicated to mountain biking at Arc 1600 with:
-> La Cachette"Downhill" slope
-> the Freestyle zone with a chair lift service 3 times a week from Combettes and every day from Cachette with 4 tours: FourCross, SlopeStyle and two NothShore circuits (intermediary and expert).
-> 4 fun manoeuvre areas: "Practice Park" where you can learn to appreciate the joys of freestyle, situated at Bourg Saint Maurice, Arc 1600, Arc 1800 and Arc 1950/2000.
Mountain biking and hiking with peace of mind
Day trips: leave your worries behind! Our children’s coordinators can look after lunch for your children registered for kids’ clubs. And you can take a picnic with you (to be booked the day before at reception).
Registration
Registration for mountain bike activities and hikes is carried out at the Village Club Arc 1800 Mountain Centre the day before you wish to take part (subject to the number of spaces available and weather conditions)
